Beginning Again

Life can leave you with a stained heart. Sometimes, we have allowed the hurt that we have experienced to become our deciding factor to give in. We have allowed the pain to grow in our spirit. We have become blinded and defeated by our own view of failures. This is your reminder to pick that pen back up that you laid down. Go back to the desires and dreams that God has placed in you. You can start again. It does not matter where you start—but begin again. It is not too late to retrace your steps. Get back to whatever you may have abandoned because of your circumstances. Start again.

Try again—but this time with God. Last time, you let fear grab hold unto you. The person you thought would help you to succeed did not show up. That hurt you experienced after no one gave you support tormented you. The betrayal from a friend caused you to give up your dream. The loss you felt was too great when you tried to make that family, so you gave up. The pain of that illness caused you to stop. Yes, it hurt you. God felt your pain. He was not unresponsive to your pain in that moment. Even though you may have let that one moment of fear triumph over you—one moment of disappointment does not define you. You are defined by God. He says you are so worthy despite what you may feel. The great thing about starting again is that His mercies are new every morning. You can try again. He is there with you. God wants to do a new thing in you through what you gave up. What is it that God keeps tugging at you to try again?

The moment you decide to show up with God and agree to go back to what He has started in you, will be a defining moment in your story. You counted yourself out, but God was counting you in. When you start to understand the importance of what God has assigned to you, then you will begin to understand the significance of your inaction. God’s mercy will give you the chance to go back and revise what was unfinished. Your story is going to create waves in your generation. Your assignment will be living proof of Jesus. Start again. Trust God instead of letting others dictate your path. Trust God in spite of what may come your way this time. This time when you start again, start with the expectancy of a better outcome. God is going to work in new ways for you. This time, do not let your circumstances control your results. God is going to restore everything that was lost in that season. Pick that desire back up; do not let it go. You may feel lonely this time. Others may not understand why you are doing this. You know your reason behind it this time. This time it is personal because you know what is at hand. God will finish what has started in you. You have a blank canvas to create a fresh start. Begin.
