“The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.” -Haggai 2:9
In this short fleeting life, all we have right now in this time is the present moment. God’s work can be seen in the former things, but the experience and the anointing is felt in the present moments. Greater glory is happening right now in this season. Everything that you have experienced leading up to this moment will reveal the present glory that will find your embrace. Sometimes, the pain of what happened can keep us stuck in the mindset of the former things, but the glory of the present cannot be compared to the former times. Your present glory will confirm that all of the sacrifices and tears were seen in the eyes of the Lord. Your present glory will validate the faith you held on to despite what you saw. God does not waste the former things that have happened to us, but uses them as part of our greater glory. As we walk out this life with Jesus, it gets better. It can feel daunting to think of better days when you are in the darkness. It can be hard to see any glimpse of hope in the turbulence, but we have the promises of God’s goodness that backup anything and everything that we are going through. This present glory is going to be a reminder of what God said to you.
The present house that God has built for you in this season will be evidence of His truths to you. Your present glory will be an example of how God makes all things new. As you navigate in this glory, you will experience the shifting of God. Your relationships will become deeper and more meaningful; your experience within your calling will take you to new levels; your sadness and mourning will turn to gladness and you will see the harvest of what was sown. Believe that your present moments are better. Believe that the repositioning and shifting is for you. The former house was necessary, but it cannot afford your present shift of glory. The former house was established for your growth, but it cannot sustain the power of your present glory. You will see the fruit of your faithfulness in this season. The peace of God will preserve you in this present place of glory.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” -Isaiah 60:1
