Your Will

“Your will be done, on earth as in heaven.”

Those words are necessary and required for us to navigate this world. Life changing movement and existence comes from allowing God’s will to be done. His will always guides you to uncovered faith. His will exposes His undeniable love for you. His will protects you from unseen hindrance. His will shows up with purpose and intention for your life. Abiding in the will of God allows us tear down any understanding apart from Him. Our emotions and knowledge are all fleeting without God. Our desires and needs change based upon our viewpoint in that moment. The will of God will never change. His voice is a solid measure in your life. His plans have been set in stone. The will of God in your life can never be undone.

The voice and will of God comes from a place of synchronization. They will never contradict one another, but instead offer stability and peace within you. Your own will aside from God’s, can never coincide. A releasing of our own desires and thoughts must transpire. “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” -Luke 22:42. As Jesus was going to the Mount of Olives, He has a moment of surrender to the Father. He called on the strength of God. He laid down His own will for His Father’s will. When we can mirror moments like Jesus had toward the Father, we can begin to perceive that our lives belong to God. Allow God to take your cup in your time of sorrow. Allow Him to take your cup in your heartache and struggle. Allow Him to take your cup in your fulfillment and contentment. Your own strength will never be enough. Your own strength will only satisfy in temporary moments. Your own cup by itself will never be sufficient. Pour your cup out unto Jesus. Let His will serve your heart.

No matter what season you may be experiencing, recognize what the Father’s will is for you. Ask God to help you make decisions and plans based on what His voice says about you. The will of God will always meet you with His confidence. The will of God will send you reminders and confirmation. The will of God will always give you hope and a future. Though it may be rocky mountains and low valley’s that you will have to travel, you are in the safety of Jesus. Though it may look lifeless, you are in the One who gave you life. Your life is in His Hands. Give your cup to Jesus and grab hold to His will.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” -1 John 5:14

“Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God;
Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.” -Psalm 143:10

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,” -Ephesians 1:17
