In this season and moment of your life, recognize that everything has worked for your good. We can appreciate that not some things, or just the beneficial things—but everything is working for our good. We often equate results and open doors as good things, but what happens when we go through the impossibility and barrenness of a season? Do you still count the rejection as good? Do you still count the mistake as good? God does. Romans 8:28 tells us, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Even when we are treading in pain, God knows the method to use to create a good work inside of you. When we begin to understand that evidence of His goodness is with us in every season, our testimony becomes living proof that all things are working together.
God births some of His greatest purposes and promises through the moments when we struggle to find the good. In our darkest seasons, He produces goodness that pours down on us, especially when we cannot see or feel it. Without those moments of breaking, you would not have run into the strength that you have now—it was working for your good. Without that leap of faith, you would not have experienced the career change you needed to help discover your purpose in God—it was working for your good. Without the redirection of that relationship, you would have never met the one God intended for you—it was for your good. Without those pivotal moments, you would not have experienced what you needed to deepen your faith in God. Without those important details, you would not be where God has designated you to be in this moment. Even in what we are quick to deem as unimportant or useless, God still manages to use those very things for our most purposeful work. The struggle that you are encountering right now, will be used for your good. All things are working together.
Unfortunately, the good does not always feel good. Sometimes, it looks like the opposite of good. In our questioning of good, God still shows Himself faithful in what we are facing. The good that is waiting to be seen in this season, will show you that God does His best work through the moments that we do not see. The goodness of God flows in what we have labeled as an insufficiency. The goodness of God is in that hard time with you. Eventually, you will see the manifestation of what God was doing all along. In due time, you will see the grace and protection that has been around your life. You will see all of the good that God is. Everything that God ever does and will do is for you. His goodness is constantly pursuing you. Give God a chance to put the pieces all together and give you an expected end. Give Him the opportunity to use you as a witness of His promises. Do not quit in what you see as not good. There is so much good that lies within your purpose. Let your faith speak boldly for you, as you grab onto the belief that all things are working for you. The greatest good will be found from the places of deep desperation and anguish. God uses everything. He is fruitful by nature. He will never waste anything that involves you. Even in your heartache, He is still working. In this season, be reminded that all things are working together for your good.
