More Than

Whatever you may be experiencing in this season—you are more than this moment. It may feel like you are perpetually stuck in a motionless cycle of life. You are becoming defined by the labels and badges that others have placed upon you. You are more than how people see you. Do not let this moment become overshadowed by the thoughts and emotions that you are enduring today. You are more than what you are feeling right now. A moment means that this will pass. A moment means that it is temporary. A moment means it cannot last forever. You are more than your circumstances. That illness does not define your ability; you are more than capable with God. When you become preoccupied by past mistakes, remember that you are forgiven; you are more than that former season. When the worries of this world begin to surface in our lives, we can retaliate with the courage that the Holy Spirit has given us to overcome. God says you are so much more than this moment that you are facing.

Your existence in Jesus will always lead back to greater and higher. You are more than this moment that you are withstanding. You were created for what you are encountering in this season. God sees beyond this brief period of time. You are more than the description of your anxiety and depression. You are more than the evidence of generational trauma. You are more than the identity of your failures and unfulfilled expectations. You are more than your stamp of insecurities. When you feel inadequate and overwhelmed, take a few minutes to recognize that this is just a moment. This is not the ending to your destiny; this is not the final stage. While in this momentary period, you still have time to change for the better. You still have time to achieve what God has laid before you. You still have time for God’s healing. You still have time to work through your pain.

You are more than this moment that is trying to discredit your progress. You are more than this phase that is trying to conceal your reality. You cannot remain stuck; you have to see past the short-term space. This moment cannot take up room to reside in uncertainty. You are far more experienced than you know. God’s love surrounds you more than anything else could throughout all time. His timing covers you more than you will ever know. The Holy Spirit’s anointing and discernment embraces you more than you will ever realize. In the moments of distress and panic, embrace the acknowledgment; however, distinguish this as a temporary feeling and moment in time. You are so much more than what is currently happening to you in this season. You are more than what is only lasting for a little while. His strength will continually sustain you through this impermanent time.
