This year may have been the hardest season you have experienced. You found it difficult to navigate your way through the unexpected and unpredictable events surrounding you. During this year, you encountered hit after hit. Maybe the silent battles of your heart and mind were echoed through doubt. As we journey throughout the time that is left of this year, be encouraged that it is not over. This chapter may be closing, but you are not done. Take delight in these beautiful moments and truths of God that will help sustain you in the days to come:
1.) God is for you.
God is so for you. He is rooting for you every step of the way. You may not have the support of your family or friends in what you are doing, but you have the support of God. They may not understand your calling or decisions. Your ministry and mindset may not be for everyone, but God understands you. He is with you. God is in your corner covering you with His love in all things. He will never leave or forsake you.
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” -Romans 8:31
2.) The wait is not in vain.
If you have been waiting this season for God’s promises to pass, your answer will not come back void. In His perfect timing, you will see the harvest of what you have sowed. You may still be in the waiting room, but your wait is not wasted. God is putting together all of the pieces to your purpose. Give time a chance; give God a chance. You may be close to seeing what you have desired for in this season. The wait is pruning and preparing you.
“I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry.” -Psalm 40:1
3.) God will provide.
Whatever you need in this season, God will provide. Whatever has been stressing you, God will make a way for you. It may have appeared desolate this year, but God will show up for you. He will never let you fall without creating a way for you to get back up. His faithfulness will never fail. The rivers will flow with His never-ending provision for you.
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19
4.) What God said will prevail.
The promises that He has planted inside of you will never come back empty. When His words are spoken, they shall be done. Hold close those things that God has said. It has to happen. God will never go back on His word—for He is the Word. Your purpose has been set before the beginning. No one can change what God said about you. His plans for your life have to work. God will do exactly what He has set out to do for you.
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes out from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” -Isaiah 55:10-11
Be assured that your best days have not been seen. The miracles of God are coming to you. This year may have thrown you off track; you almost gave up. It was hard to see the road ahead. You survived it. God carried you to the finish line of your purpose in this year. God makes all things new. You can find a glimmer of hope in what is coming.
There are unfulfilled promises that you have yet to see. There are assignments with your name on it that will change those around you. There is purpose that God needs you to continue to do. You will be fruitful and multiply in your work. Doors will be opened on your behalf. Be encouraged in this very season. There is nothing too hard for God. He has so much more in store for you. Continue to surrender and embrace the process.
