Persisting in the Insignificant

Repetitive, pointless and insignificant. Day after day it starts to feel like you are placing one foot in front of the other just to do it all over again forever. During this season it can become hard to find the will to keep enduring on the path forward; nonetheless, God honors your efforts. He knows this is not what you desire in this moment. He feels your frustration in not seeing the fruit of your work. What you may be in the middle of right now looks worthless; however, God knows how to redirect worthless to worthiness. You are more than your failures and unmet needs. You are more than this moment. This bleak moment does not define you. What you are experiencing is actually working for you.

When everything is falling apart, that is when you need to hold on the hardest. When life throws the biggest punches, that is when you need to fight the hardest. God knows this season is not what you envisioned for your life. He knows what you are seeing and what you know about your destiny is not adding up through this equation. God never needed us to figure out the reason, but to trust that His is the reason. God never created us to be bound by our circumstances, but rather empowered by them. Keep pressing forward. Find the light in the darkness. Look for the joy in the tense moments. When you can focus less on what you dislike about your surroundings, you can clue into the teachable moments of this season. Maybe God has you in this uncomfortable season because He needs you to learn to trust Him. Maybe God has positioned you in the wilderness, to learn to walk by faith and not by sight. This season He is empowering and equipping you to seek out the significance in the insignificant part of your situation.

Maybe God desires for you to change your view of how this season will be for you. Your current circumstances do not delegate your future. This season looks disheartening and unpromising; God is with you and is changing the foundation of your position. The small is only temporary. The unfavorable and unfamiliarity that you are experiencing will not last always. Delegating in the insignificant moments can be hard. In these moments God needs you to tap into what you know to be true and not what you are seeing. Surviving this moment will not be easy, but God needs you to get through this short-term pain. Persisting in the insignificant parts of your life will become the answer to the future promises and anointing that God has placed for you. Making it past this moment of disappointment will be a monumental opportunity for you to lean into heaven’s glory. Do not give up because it looks lifeless right now. God is working to renew your situation. Stay grounded in His truth while you are persisting. God is turning the purposeless pieces into your purpose. The insignificant parts will be used for your good.
