When everything around you is moving too fast. When the raindrops keep pouring from above. When it looks like a complete standstill. When you do not understand—trust. In those moments, God will slow you down. He will make ways for you that you never thought were possible. Even though the rain may continue to fall, God will cover you with His grace. Even though you feel stuck, He will use the stillness to reassure you that He is God. When you do not understand—God does. Trust must become a requirement from your heart for understanding. During the times when we do not understand, we can gain access to His peace through our trust in Him. Although things may not turn around in your favor, you can be assured that all things are still working together on your behalf. When you do not understand—are you still choosing to trust God in this season of your life?
When we experience the incomprehensible, unfathomable and the unimaginable moments in life, it hurts us. Our mind is incapable of comprehending the understanding of the events and experiences that have transpired throughout our lives. We want to seek out the answers for the unknown. Our spirit becomes tormented trying to figure out why certain things happened to us. You may never know why you had to endure such pain. You may never know why you had to lose everything. You may never know why you had to walk through that hard season. In our confusion and questioning, God is still faithful. When you put your trust in God, you can be confident that no matter what occurs you will be ok. Trusting Him involves not choosing to look at your circumstances, rather looking forward with faith.
Maybe you are focused too much on the comprehension behind what God does, rather than letting God move freely in your life. In this season, God wants you to seek Him instead of the reason or cause. Understanding will be revealed when you least expect it. The answers will come when you pursue His presence. The broken pieces of what you went through will eventually become a guide towards understanding. Your apprehension will not have a home in your heart any longer. When you do not understand, it is ok. Trust God. That is all He desires for us to do. This season may feel uneasy. Your heart may feel unsettled. Your spirit is wrestling back and forth with fear. Nothing makes sense in this moment. When you do not understand—God does. God is the Creator of your life; He knows and understands what you do not. Seek God in this season and His understanding will soon follow.
