Making Room

It is easy to find ourselves caught up in all of the things that we have going for us in life. Sometimes, we can become overloaded with what is happening in front of us. God did not call us to bear everything, but to work with what we have. By doing so, we must learn to make room. Making room requires something to be taken away in order to receive something new. Just as if you were cleaning out your closet— you would not keep buying new clothes without getting rid of what is worn out and old. An exchange must take place in order for you to fit everything into your space. Subsequently, with God, we must be willing to clean out the things that are no longer apart of our portion. God desires our reciprocity to encounter everything good that He has for us.

When you find yourself still holding closely to something that no longer serves you, it becomes hard for God to move freely on what He desires to do within you. There is a hinderance that has taken over. That hurt has to move out in order to make room. That sorrow has to move out in order to make room. Whatever your heart or mind may struggle with, it has to eventually move in order for His glory to flow in you. There is an expiration date for everything. Whatever that stronghold is, God is stronger. What are you still holding onto that has no worth? What is it that still has a tug on your heart and mind? Make room for all of what God wants you to receive. What are you exchanging to God for room to be made in this season?

Making room for what needs to have space in your life is always hard. There are many feelings and emotions attached to what you are letting go. We tend to hold onto what we know and what we are used to. It is absolutely easier to continue to hold tight to the old and comfortable; however, by choosing to make room for fresh anointing, you have taken back the power that God has given you to prosper. God promises to be with you every step of the way. Whatever you are making room for in this season, do it boldly. Decide that this is the day that you dispose of your old mindset, and make room for God’s love and freedom to reign over your life.

“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.” -Isaiah 55:6

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: (6) a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, -Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 6

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” -2 Corinthians 3:17
