Psalm 37:4 tells us to delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Taking delight in the Lord throughout all of our endeavors, will guide us to seek pleasure and happiness in Him. Pursuing life from a place of gladness will position you to receive the desires of your heart. Taking the time to follow Him in all things will lead you to find delightful joy. Delighting yourself in the Lord shows a reflection of your heart’s sentiment. You cannot seek complete contentment of joy if your heart is not centered on Him. To find great pleasure in God, we must continually be active partakers by participating in the fullness of His word.
Showing up continually with God in the middle of your hardest battle indicates His delight within you. Being consistent and persistent signifies your strides in Him. Subsequently, you are revealing your delight by abiding in His trust. Your perseverance speaks to the nature of God. This is evidence of His delight. We can detect and desire delight in all things that we do. Our perception will become reverence when we intentionally strive for the position of His pleasure.
