Wandering in the Wilderness

The wilderness. The stillness of this season feels isolating. The sight of the dryness surrounding you seems unfulfilling. The sounds of the silence echoed throughout the emptiness feels unbearable. The thought of an exit strategy lives in the forefront of your mind. Wandering in the wilderness during this season will become the breaking point before God gives you clarity of the barrenness you experienced. The wilderness can be agonizing and painful. In this season you may be experiencing confusion about a particular situation. You may be struggling to accept what your life looks like now. Maybe you are in the midst of having to endure restlessness from decisions that have impacted and affected you greatly. In your wilderness season, God is still faithful.

When God brought the Israelites out from the wrath of pharaoh, they had to endure the wilderness for forty years. Even in their unbelief and rebellion, there was a purpose for that prolonged period in the wilderness. If there was no wilderness, Joshua would have not been chosen by God to become the next leader after Moses. If you can take a step back from the desolation, you can find purpose in it. Walking through the wilderness will cause you to reevaluate the outcomes of certain situations. There is a divine connection to everything that we experience in life. You may be blinded by this wilderness season, but there is a setup in your setback. If you take time to sit in the silence, you may hear words from the Lord that will instruct you in your next season. If you can tap in to the hard battle that you are experiencing, maybe you can find a peace that surpasses all understanding in your wilderness season. You may not see it, but there is purpose in this season. Even through the confusion, heartache and repetition, there will soon be a response about the reasoning for this season. Perhaps you had to walk through the wilderness for protection. God may be protecting you from harm. Maybe this season is for the strengthening of your faith. There is promise and provision in your wilderness season.

The wilderness is not comfortable. God is uprooting and reforming you and your surroundings. During the reconstruction phase, God is taking you through foreign places. As you continue to walk with God in this frivolous season, eventually you will see why you had to wander through the wilderness. The wilderness feels like a deviation from the plan. It feels like there is no purpose in it. During those times, press into God. You may not understand, but God will still show up with you. God needs you during this season. You can be assured that even though you are still wandering throughout the wilderness, everything is working for your good. Comparatively to the Israelites, God will send you help in this season. Your Moses and Joshua will be the connection that you need to take your business higher. Your Moses and Joshua will the connection that you need for financial freedom. Your Moses and Joshua will be the connection to your healing. This help will be the lifeline to lead you out of the wilderness and into a place of position for the manifestation of His purpose through you. The wilderness is working in your favor.

“For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He knows you are going through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.” -Deuteronomy 2:7

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” -Isaiah 43:19

“Then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;” -Isaiah 35:6
