There is power in choosing persistency and consistency in our lives. It is challenging deciding that you are going to wholeheartedly serve God no matter the conditions of your circumstances. It is hard choosing to remain faithful in the things that God has called you to do. Walking in relentless and in unwavering faith will be uncomfortable at times. Finding a spirit of steadfastness through whatever we are going through reveals the position of our hearts. It is an act of intentionally when we choose to believe God despite of what is known. Learning to remain steadfast in trials will help us strengthen our faith and trust in God’s process and timing throughout our lives.
Progressing and persisting in a steadfast spirit will stretch you. Maybe your struggle is not necessarily in being steadfast, rather facing the unknown. Perhaps having to persevere frightens you; having to accept and deal with what is in front of you is too hard. Maybe persisting constantly in this world is causing you more pain and tiredness than you are capable of bearing. In our weakness, He is our strength. He is your refuge. His name alone is strong. God wants to free you of the limitations that you have placed on yourself. There is spirit of fear that needs to be broken off of your current mindset. Tearing down the walls of disappointment and restructuring your faith needs to transpire. There is grace that needs to find you. Learning to remain steadfast when you endure hardships will help detach the weight that is holding you down. We cannot become fully steadfast if we are not willing to let go. There is a spirit of surrender in becoming steadfast in Him and the calling over your life.
Learning to remain steadfast is a process. There is effectiveness in breaking those barriers down in our lives, so we can truly abide in a steadfast spirit. Enduring is never easy, but God promises to be with us during our time of need. Start right now with the circumstances of this season. What are the challenges that you are currently facing that can meet you in the middle of steadfastness? The reward is great in our steadiness and firmness. God can work through your consistency and persistency. There is purpose in your faithfulness. There is so much power that lies within your choice to remain steadfast. Choose to remain steadfast in this ever-changing world. God is our constant and consistent hope throughout our lives.
