Within the Wait

The seasons of waiting on God’s promises are always the hardest. The wait can feel exhausting. The waiting period can help us to fully rely on God. In the meanwhile, you can remind yourself daily of the beautiful things that have been spoken over you. They will come to pass. While you are waiting, you can began by depositing and planting those seeds of life in to whatever He has called for you. You can speak life through your wait.

Within the wait, place God’s promises in the forefront of your mind. Write them down. Keep His words as reminders of what He has said to your spirit. Sit with God; pray and mediate. Sometimes, there will be forgotten promises that He will bring back to light. Promises that you may have put off because of life’s circumstances, will circle back to your mind. His words have already been spoken in you. It will happen in due time. It can be absolutely frustrating in the wait. During this time, it is important to surround yourself with people that will keep you uplifted. Having people around that can continually speak life to you and refresh you of the things that are coming is crucial in your waiting season. When you feel like nothing is happening and God is not moving, find encouragement in that moment. Whether it is praying, listening to a sermon, reading a devotional or the bible—there are many things and people that will try to speak doubt in your world. You know what God has said regarding you. You know that your business is going to excel. You know that God has called healing over your body. You know that restoration is coming to your job and family. When it gets hard, encourage yourself that your life is not over. There is so much more that God has for you.

Additionally, within the wait, start planting the seeds that God has sown in your spirit. You can start each day by doing a task that is going to help develop you in His promises. If your calling is in ministry, you can start by spreading the word to others. If God has showed you roots in acting, start taking classes to help excel your gift. Whatever God has called you to do, there is anointing behind it. You are anointed for that promise. God is preparing you in every single aspect. Do not wait until the promises of God arrive to start whatever your assignment may be. Start now. In this, you will be fully equipped and will not mishandle what God has for you.

While you are waiting, hold close to that healing, career, life transition, business venture that God has for you. God will not go back on His word. What He has promised you has been written in stone. No one can change the promises of God over your life—not even you. While you are waiting, He promises to be there with you every step of the way. You will be so glad that you waited on God. His goodness wants to fully occupy your life. In the meantime, we can learn to wait with a grateful heart because we know that God is preparing everything for us. You can endure the wait. God knew that you would have to wait on His timing. He is using this time to strengthen your faith. With reminders of His timing and planting the seeds of harvest, when the time comes, God is going to show you that His footprints were always with you.

“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope.” -Psalm 130:5

“For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” -Habakkuk 2:3

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” -Romans 8:18
