All of the things that we have to endure in our lives will sometimes cause us to lose hope. If you look at something dear to you that did not happen, or when the cycle of life keeps hitting you with despair; it is hard to remain hopeful. Changing the narrative will help you to stay grounded and rooted in what the Lord has already ordained over your life. Even when you cannot feel it, there is hope in your very breath. You are still here. That means God is not done with you yet. You still have more to offer to this world.
Do not prematurely disqualify yourself. Do not throw in the towel yet. We cannot disregard what is left here to do when we know the power of the One we serve. He has not abandoned you. You are still a key player in the game. When you do become disheartened, you can overwrite that voice that is telling you the opposite of what you know to be true in your heart. When you do find yourself surrounded by devastation, take time to rest your mind by worshipping and talking to the Lord. Where there is life there is hope. Keep proceeding forward. You have purpose here. Your testimony will be one of hope—just like David. When David went up against Goliath, it looked like there was no hope. It looked like David would be easily destroyed, but David declared that he was coming in the name of the Lord. David was able to defeat Goliath with his sling and stone. David could have easily given in due to the nature of Goliath, but that did not stop him. There is hope in Jesus. You can do all things through Him.
Do not sell yourself short. The world needs your impact. People need your joyous spirit. The world needs your creativity. It needs your wisdom. The work that God has put on the inside of you will change lives. This generation needs your leadership. You cannot afford to remain basking in hopelessness. Your mission is too great to give up. We need your voice. People need to hear your story of determination. Continue to cling to hope, especially in those moments of great desperation. You can be hopeful. Our hope is not in this world, but in Jesus.

“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” -Romans 15:4
