Finding Joy in all Things

This life can make it hard for us to find joy. Sometimes, it feels impossible for us to seek out joy when unpredictable challenges are affecting our lives. Joy is not circumstantial, but rather a position or posture. We have to position ourselves to find joy. Position our attitude and perspective towards our situation. Finding joy in the midst of adversity and difficulty will begin to alter how you see life happening to you. Learning to chase after joy, not only in the good, but during the challenging times will cause an adjustment of your thinking. Your thoughts will become integrated with His word.

Pursuing joy starts with you. Even when your circumstances do not mirror your path to joy—remain hopeful. Your perspective of how you view what is in front of you will be your guide. Be intentional about detecting the joyful moments in your life. Focus on hope. Look at your situation and begin to indicate the good that is happening. The same way you see the bad that is happening; track the good that is in your world right now. Learning to find joy in all things will stretch your faith. Encountering hope in the middle of hard times will increase your trust in God.

Finding joy in all things is a journey. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Stand on the words that God has already said to you. You will experience an unconditional joy from walking in the things that He has called you do. You will come to know about a forever joy, when you ultimately recognize that God is completely for you. You can have that joy in your life. We can rejoice in all things because we know Who holds the future. You simply can choose joy when you think about all of the ways He has made for you. Finding joy in all things requires intentionally and a change in perspective for us to entirely delight in the fullness of joy.
