You have been holding on for so long. You have been trying your best to keep moving uphill. What you have not realized is all of the baggage you are carrying behind: those burdens, hurt, pain, betrayal, bitterness, sadness, and inadequacy are dragging you down. Release it to God. You have been trying to do it all yourself. You have been going in circles figuring out what you are going to do. Let go. Give that worry in your heart to Him. Give God your hardships, for He cares so much about you. Let go and let God.
You have to acknowledge those hurts and troubles in your life in order to let them go. You cannot live in denial over your weaknesses. When we are weak, He is strong. He is there graciously waiting for you to turn the burdens of your heart over to Him. He wants it. The messiness of your failures, He wants it. The insecurities of your self perception, He wants it. The dead end to your problems, He wants it. Relinquish that pain. It is holding you down. It is causing more harm than good—release it. You can turn it all over to Him. He is a burden bearer. Everything that is tearing away from Him—release it.
You can have peace. God is peace. You can find freedom. In Christ we are set free. When you intentionally set out to seek Him and give Him those things that you constantly wrestle with, that is when He can show up with you and help you navigate through life. You cannot do this all on your own. It is never in your strength that anything is done. It is by the power and strength of the Lord. God does not need your help in figuring it out, He needs your faith. Lay it down. You have to come to a breaking point where you will become exhausted in trying to do it your way. When you get to that moment, come to God and give Him everything.
God wants to heal what is broken in your heart. Allow Him by laying it at His feet. God cannot work in you if you are already full of yourself. Make room for God to come in and handle your situation. Release it to Him.
