Spoken in the Silence

Life continually and constantly pulls us in many directions. It feels like we are living each day on an automatic mode. Do you know that even through the chaos of our day God desires to speak to us? Even in the midst of our all-consuming tasks God wants your attention. There are things He wants you to know, but they will only be spoken to you in the silence. This cannot happen when you are moving and doing, but in silence. When we have set our hearts and minds in the silence, that is when we can hear the Holy Spirit speak. So often we miss important things from the Lord that are pertaining to our day-to-day life because we are not positioned in solitude.

God wants you to know what He knows about your life. He wants you to hear the instructions for the things that He has created you to do. He desires to speak to you about your current situation. Some things can only be revealed in the silence. In the silence, your focus cannot shift to life around you. Your focus is solely on Him. You are keyed into what God is saying and doing in that moment. Those words that are spoken in the silence to you, will be the very same things He will use for His glory. Put aside those things that are distracting you. Turn off the noise. Posture yourself in the silence for a miracle. Posture yourself in the silence for a word from Him. Be still and know that He is God. In the stillness, you will began to hear God in a new way. In the stillness, decisions will become clear to you. In the stillness, His hand will guide you through what you are facing.

Do not miss what God is tugging at your heart for you to do. Do not miss the signs He is showing you. God wants to reveal His purpose in you. He wants to show you the answers to your questions. He wants to make known to you who He is in your life. Position yourself in silence to hear His voice. God is always speaking to us. The question is—are we listening? Set yourself in the silence to hear His voice.
