At this very point in time, you may find yourself struggling. Struggling with feelings of inadequacy, fear, hurt, pain and loss. You may be going back and forth with yourself wondering is this worth it. This is your confirmation to not quit. Do not give up. It hurts. It seems like no one can feel your pain. You are scared. It feels like you are going through this rough time alone. It is devastating. You just lost a close friend or family member. It feels like you can not go on without them. Those places of deep pain can feel like your world is ending. That deep darkness can be hard to find your way out of.
It will get better. It may not be right now, or even soon, but better days will come. Continue to cry out to God. God sees your tears. He sees those restless nights. He sees those moments of hopelessness. He sees you. Even when we find it hard to communicate with Him, He is still present. Life is hard, but there is hope in Jesus. You may not find yourself in a place where you can truly hold onto that hope yet, but that is ok. Just know that He is holding you and that is all you need. Do not quit. Do not give up. Stay the course.
Give yourself permission to grieve and to hurt because what you went through was hurtful and painful—do not unpack there. Take the time you need, but do not begin to live in that space. When you live in that space, that becomes who are. Your identity is not broken, hurt, sick, unloved or unqualified. Your identity is in Christ. He says you are healed, whole, loved and needed. Yes, those things hurt you. Yes, that almost broke you, but nothing catches Him by surprise. He knew what was going to happen to you. He has your life in His hands.
When you keep the course, God will use that very same thing that caused you so much pain to be the stepping stool to someone else’s breakthrough. That very same hurt will be used as your platform and for your purpose. Do not quit. Do not give up. God is looking to use your story for His glory.
It is hard. Everyday is hard. There are so many moments of vulnerability and moments of doubt. God will meet you right where you are in all of your disappointment and discouragement. Call upon the name of Lord. Pray into those moments and seek His face. Press in and hold onto Him. He will never ever let you go. Do not quit. Do not give up.
Someone somewhere is connected to your purpose. They are waiting for you to overcome. They are waiting for you to win. Do not quit. Do not give up. Stay the course.
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12
